BLESSINGS AND GRACES
As I celebrate my 68th birthday today, I continue to acknowledge and express my appreciation and gratitude for all the blessings and graces i have received in my life:
A loving, caring, understanding and very supportive wife who is always with me through thick and thin – 38 years of happy married life – looking forward to our Golden Anniversary.
Addition of another family member(s) – (In addition to my two grandsons I will have another two – yes not one but two. My eldest daughter is expecting identical twin girls this coming October.
Good health, a sound mind and a sound body. Never had any serious illness these past years.
For a very supportive Christian community, my source of inspiration and spiritual nourishment
For all the support and encouragement given by family members, relatives and friends.
For the readers and traders alike who gave very positive response to my first book – it sold like hotcakes and immediately went out of stock as soon as it hit the shelves of a major book store, and for the same response and to my second book. We had a very successful book launch through my website at the start of this month.
Many followers and zero bashers (Oh, there was one and it was a memorable one). It was a disgruntled troll from a certain tribe who tried to vent his anger on me and tried all means – name-calling, flame-baiting, expletives – to draw me into a fight. Instead he got a dose of Christian mercy which he probably has not experienced in his entire life.
Last but the most important of all – for an Awesome and Magnificent God who walked with me through all these years, showered me with blessings, gave me wisdom and nurtured me to grow in body, mind and spirit. Who has given me an indomitable spirit that enables me to rise above all challenges and walk away victorious whatever the situation, even or circumstance I find myself in, regardless of whatever life throws at me or takes away from me.
2019 AND BEYOND
On this day, and as my way of paying forward all the blessings and graces that I received, I renew my commitment to leave a lasting legacy to present and future traders, providing them with quality educational materials to help them grow and develop into mature Responsible Traders.
In line with this, I have already written two books that are worth passing on to the next generation. I am now working on my third one. Hopefully when my two grandsons have grown up, we have already achieved our objective of raising the level of trading in the Philippines to a more professional level.
I am looking forward to more years of sharing and learning with you (Perhaps another 20 years – God willing).
